Join PSI as a Tutor and play a critical role in supporting students to reach their full academic potential. This position involves working closely with students across various age groups and subjects to provide personalized instruction that addresses specific learning needs and academic challenges.

A Day in the Life:

  • Session Preparation: Start your day by preparing lesson materials based on the individual learning needs and goals of each student.

  • One-on-One Tutoring: Conduct personalized tutoring sessions in subjects where students require additional help, such as mathematics, science, reading, or writing.

  • Progressive Assessment: Evaluate students’ understanding and mastery of the material, providing immediate feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Collaboration with Teachers: Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to align tutoring strategies with the overall educational goals and curriculum of the school.

  • Reporting: Document each student’s progress, challenges, and achievements, keeping detailed records to share with teachers and parents.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Targeted Instruction: Deliver focused, one-on-one or small group instruction designed to meet the specific academic needs of each student.

  • Curriculum Support: Assist students with homework, test preparation, and project completion, ensuring they grasp and apply key concepts effectively.

  • Skill Development: Help students develop study and learning skills that will aid their overall academic performance and independence.

  • Motivation and Encouragement: Provide motivational support and encouragement, helping students build confidence in their academic abilities.

  • Feedback and Communication: Offer regular feedback to students, parents, and teachers about academic progress and areas needing further attention.

 

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education, the subject area being tutored, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, with a proven track record of improving student performance.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the subject matter, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage students effectively.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student learning styles and needs.

  • Professionalism: Commitment to ethical tutoring practices and maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment.
